I don't think the old Chrysler products had any more problem with stock oil pan clearance than any other make. Perhaps it was due to the tank-like dimensions of that Fury III coupled with insufficient suspension.

Woulda been a Fury I, many came from the factory with high capacity oil pans as well as many other mods. Suspension, tires, wheels, brakes, engine block/heads, cooling system, intake, exhaust, Mallory ignition, trans, oil coolers, cool pans and tranny coolers, high volume/pressure oil pumps, rear end/axles, steering gear and pump, blue silicone core hoses, electrical wiring, alternator, interior lighting, even the seats were cop seats. Most came with a certified speedo in-dash and a Stewart Warner roundy with Tattle Tale needle on the hump. I worked at a Chrysler dealer in the 70s. We did the dealer prep and other extras that my boss contracted for. The cops usually installed all their own electronics and emergency lighting. I was young and had the time of my life beating the snot out of cop cars. I even bought a few over the years at auction. I wanna say my 1970 Fury 1 eX NY Trooper car weighed right around 3,200#. 440CID,Torqueflite, 2.72:1 Dana Sure-Grip real fast.
