What tires do you like now days?

Pretty agnostic these days.
I like Blizzaks
I like continentials, but they are usually now more expensive that some other good choices. In 30+ years and lotsa tars, I've NEVER had a continental go bad. I still think the ones made in die vaterland were better.

It used to be that goodyears would always fail, but the van came with goodyears and we wore em out. in the last months I think one was was starting to wobble, but no complaints. 0ver 50k miles on them.
Goodyears are still overpriced. For that money I think you can get michelins.

The offbrand goodyears, (primewell) don't look that good to me. Never ran em.

Put cooper CS4 on the van. We'll see how they do.

I've had good service from generals, but the ones I've had are worthless on snow/ice

don't like japanese brands except BS/firestone/blizzak

Daughter had cheep chinee tires for a while, they self destructed.

Most of the Euro brands are good, but no longer good prices or availability. Kleber, vredestein etc

Put some no name tires from the farm store on one 240D last year. We will see how they do. The other 240D still has firestone snows on the back. THey are old, but doing well.

SDL has no name tires on it that were on it when I bought it. Not high mileage tires, but it doesn't go far now. They are adequate. New tires would be worth more than the car.

Quote of the week:

I always said that "good tires (defined as sticky and round) are the best insurance you can buy."
(and often the most valuable)

most good tires are found in the mid range. Cheap ones are no good, expensive ones are a waste of money, especially when they don't stick or don't stay round.
