Canadian health care is run by the Provinces, not the National Government.

I lived in Ontario, very few complaints there other than some of the supiditiies in the law due to it being last updated properly in the mid 1950s. Not covering hip replacements after age 65, and putting people in nursing homes with their care there covered by OHIP, for instance. Not a failure in concept, but in implementation.

BC's health plan was horrible, worse for actual service than Newfoundland. Of course, BC had been Tory since WWII, go figure.

Other than remote areas, the rest of Canada had (and has) far better health systems than BC.
