I do think that resuming more normal relations with Cuba was the right thing, at the right time. I think improving relations with Vietnam was also overdue.
Exposing those oppressed peoples to "western" ways, by which I mean capitalism and rule of law and individual liberty and property rights, is the best way to undermine the commies.
