Just a curious question in regards to the build up problem some of you are having. Do you put greasy/oily pots or pans in the dishwasher? I'm on a septic tank system, so I put all grease/oil in the trash. I clear most food off pans and plates. I don't have any problems with the door areas. Also, is your hot water set high enough? Just curious if other factors may be involved. Again, I cleaned my "old" Maytag last year after 16 years of operation and found no similar problems. Maybe I'm lucky or whatever.
Best Wishes,
Roger

Or maybe you use cascade and the others don't.

Way back when I went to a fridgiare appliance school and they flat out told us that if the customer did not use cascade in the DW, they WOULD have problems.
