Noticed today there is no redline on my tachometer -- just where is the
redline? Although I know transmission is not going to allow the engine to
continue to accelerate as it nears redline (I don't think),


It's not the tranny that limits RPM, but the injection pump's
governor.  Easy way is to hold it in second gear and floor it,
and note the RPM that it ends up at.
