I've posted before about W. Wayne Weber, PhD. A WWII vet. He taught
hydraulics using electrical analogies. For me that was backwards as I
understood, and had encountered most of the hydraulic controls of the
day. But I paid attention and it helped me learn electronics. A diode
is supposed to act like a check valve, until you overload the check
diode, and then it acts like a fixed orifice flow control.
