The first two were eaten by the tin worm over several years, the last
was throughly smashed, several times, while parked at home. The
filters were changed within the first month of ownership.

The '70 220D (my first MB) was purchased new by my Grandfather in MN -
the fenders were already rusted through behind the headlights. I drove
it till I was afraid of falling through the floor. It was the only
Benz I've seen that flexed enough that you couldn't open the front
doors with one corner jacked up.

The 240D we have was the last car my Grandfather bought -- luckily he
didn't drive it in MN much, so is still rust free.
