Out on the desert here, if you lay down for a nap you will wake up with
vultures circling overhead..... waiting.... just in case.... ;))

I've never seen them go for anything that's not dead. Rattlesnakes are
always hung on a fence to "ripen" and even coyotes won't touch them for 3
days... professional courtesy, I suppose..
