Causes of seizure: 1. overheated - no coolant or something like that - maybe thermostat stuck and they kept going; 2. not enough oil - it leaks or uses oil and they didn't bother to check it often enough (one of my nephews did that with a late model Chevy pickup); or 3. something broke and has jammed the works Anyway you look at it, you have to be prepared to spend at least enough to buy a used engine and install it Maybe a transmission too? (my experience would indicate that auto trannys don't like to sit around too long not being used - seals harden up or something like that - if you keep using them they last longer than if they sit and wait for you to fix the car) And who knows what else it needs?
