Used and Abused. Remember "there is no such thing as a cheap Mercedes".

Causes of seizure:

1. overheated - no coolant or something like that - maybe thermostat stuck and
they kept going;
2. not enough oil - it leaks or uses oil and they didn't bother to check it
often enough (one of my nephews did
that with a late model Chevy pickup); or
3. something broke and has jammed the works

Anyway you look at it, you have to be prepared to spend at least enough to buy
a used engine and install it

Maybe a transmission too? (my experience would indicate that auto trannys don't
like to sit around too long not
being used - seals harden up or something like that - if you keep using them
they last longer than if they sit and
wait for you to fix the car)

And who knows what else it needs?

Buyer beware. Bid low and see what happens.

Subject: [MBZ] Cheap 190D with siezed engine

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Mercedes-Benz-190-D-1984_W0QQitemZ4622686730

Seller says engine is siezed - has just over 80K on the clock.

Any thoughts as to why it will not turn over?
