OK, I'll bite. What do you think your odds are if you buy off ebay without 
actually being able to inspect the car?
I'm not that much of a gambler. If the price is cheap enough to justify the 
worst case scenario then maybe but I'd
hate to pay anything significant on a "hunch" that a cheap fix will make it 
good.

BULL......My $500 82 240D was one of the best cars I ever owned.  There are
people who sell great things for little money because they are ignorant or
just plain tired of it all over the place.  Just have to look and see if
it's a good deal.
