UPS is also known for charging ridiculous customs brokering fees for foreign shipments. I've run into this when sending stuff to Canada. Fedex Ground needs you to have an account and do a ridiculous amount of paperwork for shipments there, too. The only way to ship stuff there that seems to make sense is USPS.
