Excellent, that is what I want to know!
I'm gonna go buy summadis stuff
https://shop.advanceautoparts.com/p/valvoline-maxlife-multi-vehicle-automatic-transmission-fluid-1-gallon-773775/8150020-P
, looks like these trannies want some Special Sauce "236.14" to be happy
and this works. I'll have to dig up some of those 20% codes.

You’re overthinking this...
The “codes” or errors are snapshots of faults that have occurred in the past or
are currently present. The system will continue to operate properly in most
cases, even with a fault code present.
Some faults are “soft” in that if they only happen a few times and don’t
reoccur they go away. This would be like the CEL you get if your gas cap isn’t
on tightly, for example.
Faults that meet or exceed a frequency thats not deemed acceptable are “hard”
faults that don’t go away on their own and need to be cleared by the SDS. And
example of this might be powering up the car while the airbag is disconnected,
which results in a hard fault in the SRS system. It may mean that device or
system is no longer functional.

It did show that 3 shift solenoids had errors and I cleared those but I guess
there are more deeper in there. The PO told me it had a pump code (from the
fancy computer) which is why he thought that was the offending element of the
tranny troubles.
So if I don't clear the codes the tranny will still act wonky even if the leaky
connector is the issue (assuming I get everything cleaned up)?
Maybe I need to think about getting a fancy computer...

Correct.
OBDII are common codes, like for emissions stuff, and do not cover systems like
ACC or transmission.

I was reading that I need the fancy computer to clear trans codes? I cleared
the OBD codes but I guess there are others only the fancy computer can clear?

I vote for fix it first, then bring the maintenance up to date.
replace the connector, clear the transmission memory, and see if it shifts.
if yes, go in and change the fluid and filter.
If no, think about changing the conductor plate, but before you do anything,
see if there's ATF in the transmission computer.
Mitch.
