Never heard of that being a state mandate, more than likely a store policy for
liability reasons.
Haven't tried the Falkens, but I heard they are good tires. But beware of the
sporty treads they are a bit noisy

Discount Tires has a good selection and prices -- I have a question though -
was in our local Costco and the guy there said they are only allowed to
install the size specified by the manufacturer as the original size. I have
to go back for something else but will stop in the tire dept and ask if that
a store policy or a state mandate.
Has anyone run into this? The www.discountire.com website offers several
tire size options. Also, they seem to like Falken Tires - has anyone tried
these?
