I see a similar thing in Flagstaff. Lots of people from the PRK, both short-timers and vacationers. They drive like sh*t, are generally dismissive to locals, and have no respect for the area or city.
Case in point: When they come up (and this applies to Phoenicians, except for AZ Bob, of course) to ski at the Snowbowl or engage in “snow sports”. There are numerous venues for this in the area. But what many of them do is park on the side of state highways where there are steep slopes (and no shoulder) and do their sledding there. When they leave, it looks like a bomb went off. Trash, damaged sleds and other snow sports gear, discarded clothing, you name it. The County has to do extra roadside trash runs during this time of year because it’s so bad.
