I watch a couple different YouTube channels that specialize in repairing old
junk. I always joke that the cleaning phase is the one where they make all
their money.

My neighbor was talking about getting a new lawn tractor. Last spring I changed
the oil in his for him, he's a good neighbor so I wanted to help him out. While
I was at it I washed the thing. He just leaves it out in the weather and the
plastic was all coated with black "stuff". It washed up pretty nice considering
I only spent a few minutes at it. When I gave it back he couldn't believe it
was the same mower and quit thinking about a new one.

Even better, Randy, are the ads you see of a fairly nice car yet they haven’t
gone to the trouble of vacuuming off the carpet or picking up the trash that’s
been tossed i the back seat/trunk, wherever.

Such a minor effort that makes a big difference. I’ve never understood this
myself, either.
