My son, Andrew is beginning search for used vehicle. He is a 25 year old student who will hopefully be starting Med school in the next 6 months or so. He has been driving our 1991 Civic for several years but it has been sold due to some rust and high mileage. Actually got $2000 for it! He is pushing for a Subaru Impreza or something similar. I am discouraging this and looking more toward a Mercedes all wheel drive in the $8-10,000 range and would like to get something that is from the south that is relatively rust free. (My daughter lives in Austin). I have 2 300D’s and he is driving one of them now but I don’t want him using it in the winter due to the salt and rust issues. Any thoughts about what we should be looking for would be welcome. Or even better does anyone have anything we might interested in? We live in Michigan. Thanks in advance, Mike
