I have found these badger 4 stroke units on eBay and Amazon that are pretty reasonable that come with a metal attachment for brush. Thinking about checking those out.
Sent from my iPhone For just cutting grass around the yard I'd say electric. I've got a Makita 18v and it'll trim our small yard on one 4ah battery.
For real sticks and brush a gas unit with a metal blade is a must. Prepare to spend real money for a good one. Mine is a Husky from the mid 90s. I think it was around $500 back then. Cheap 2 stroke weed eaters will make you pull your hair and gnash your teeth. Not worth it.

Recommendations for these? Stick with gas or go electric?
