When I am in car dealerships I am on theirs all the time and I really
have no idea what size they are. Mine at home is 19 but its too small
and is the largest I have had. Otherwise I am generally on a 15"
laptop. I thought about 24" but then got to thinking about 27".

It's a matter of preference.
At work some people have these huge wide curved monitors, like they are trying
to fill their entire field of vision with the screen. I tried one and didn't
like it.
I like two monitors next to each other. Sometimes I'll rotate one into portrait mode
which is nice for working on documents. Mine are about 24" and I would
personally not go bigger than that but it's really just whatever you like.
