I’ve done my own as well as paid for it to be done, and all I can say is it was 
far cheaper in so many ways to have it done I would never DIY it again, except 
maybe for an R129. They’re really simple since the top is removable. That said, 
it’s a mess and you’ll never, ever get all the old glue off the headliner 
board. You can save some money by R&R’ing it and taking it to your 
headliner/upholstery shop, but to be honest, they’re so good at it I found the 
difference in price to be marginal at best.
