I would have no compunction offering the woman in question $1500 for
the CD. I would then turn around and sell the thing for market value
in a heart beat. Might take time to wash it and refresh fluids, but
let me tell you ... that car would be out the door before the heat was
off the cash I paid for it.
Wife is not really close or interested in being close with person in
question. I do feel obliged to offer my knowledge of value since I am
not in the market. I have no interest or real affiliation with the
owner. Had it been the SD, I would have been giving low ball offer
from the moment I heard she was actually thinking hard about moving the
car out.
