Hi John,
Is wheel paint still holding up well?? Here's some notes from the Porsche 356 List
someone may find useful -

<<< My formula for wheel refinishing at home.
1. Glass bead entire wheel.
2. Prime with Krylon light gray primer, not sure of #.
3. After prime dries, use Krylon Dull aluminum #1403.
4/ After #1403 dries, finish up with Krylon clear satin finish #1313.
+ Looks factory.
Kind Regards,Robert Gallagher>>>

It sounds like your procedure is more detailed - and probaly looks the same or better - do you suggest glass bead cleaning prep also?

Thx -

Subject: [MBZ] Wheel Paint

Those are good prices- I did all 4 wheels this year, prep is key as with
any paint job. Light coats of the paint, sanding slightly with 400
between. Then the lacquer, 4 coats and sand before the last one. I
think they turned out perfect- hard pressed to see the difference from
factory.

Durability is unknown at this point, they have lasted 6 mo so far.
