That's how our '02 F150 was totaled - hit by an A2 VW Golf that slid
across the center line on a wet curvy road.

And yes, the body did bend I could hardly get the door open afterwards
to get out, and once I did it would not close.

Actually the woman driving the Golf was fine too.  I think those are
fairly sturdy cars.
