I have had a bit of luck with the electronic varmint annoyers, and a bit of luck with mothballs. Other than that the only success I ever had was with a .22 when I was young. Don't recommend that as it seems you are not out in the wide open spaces. Others have reported luck with a cat, or even putting cat fur around where they hang out. Seems they do not like the smell.
