Hi Sandeep, It is not mandatory to integrate QTP with QC for working on frameworks. There are frameworks which can be executed standalone without QC.
We can purchase QTP without QC In all the projects I have come across they had QTP and QC but that doesnot mean they were integrating and carrying out QTP script execution from QC. QC has its own set of features like Requirement management, Release management, Test management and Defect management. So QC sometimes acts as a repository for your QTP automated scripts and can be used for triggering both manual and automated script executions.
