Hi, I am currently trying to fix an error in the map which Merkaartor has produced. I have given up on joining the two road segments that are actually one and the same. But through joining them, one is now as long as the entire segment and the other, shorter one, is still there and I cannot delete it (server error "Precondition failed", see my other unresponded posting here). I could however detach some of the additional nodes from the longer part with the current SVN build (thanks for that feature), but to do so, I must check until which node the other part goes. Therefore I must select the shorter part. Unfortunately I cannot select the it under the longer one. (Now it doesn't even show up on an area selection...)
Selecting an area in the map or deselecting anything takes forever with this build. It's a release build. The debug build wouldn't even finish at all. It's all so slow. I've tried to resolve all relations from my small work area but that was slowing down Merkaartor significantly, while zooming or selecting things. Binary release 0.12 works much faster. (This is Merkaartor SVN checkout from an hour ago, Qt 4.4.3, included MinGW compiler, Windows XP SP3, Core 2 Duo 2.4 GHz, 1 GB RAM, VMware) Also, if all this is corrected, I need to assign the two road segments to a relation which Merkaartor has thrown them out of while editing. I can see the relation's ID, but I cannot find it in the working map. Also I cannot find it through the Search or Go To functions. And I'm not able to see it all zoomed out and with all relations resolved and displayed.
