I'd be tempted to write this as !devinfo.has_64bit_types && type_sz(inst[i].dst_type) == 8 && inst[i].dst_type != BRW_REGISTER_TYPE_NF or omit that last part if NF isn't a consideration. Or at least make a helper function so as not to repeat so much. But it's up to you.
