Hi all,

I'm going to be tackling some (minor) Mesa development in order to flesh
out some features that I need for my app, specifically in the FX driver.
I went ahead and grabbed the latest version from CVS, but unfortunately
egcs 1.1.2 gets internal compiler errors on fog_tmp.h (no big deal,
I commented the function out) and shade_tmp.h (big deal! commenting the
functions out makes polygons appear with random colors!).

I'm surprised that no one else has run into this yet, considering
how egcs has become to standard compiler for most of the major distributions
and is slated to become gcc 3.0. It happens on every Linux build
I've tried (linux-elf, linux-386-glide, linux-3dnow-glide).

I already submitted a bug report to Cygnus, but in the meantime I'm
going to try to come up with a workaround. If anyone has already been
through this and has wisdom they can share, please do. :)
Or if you have gotten it to work, let me know that too. I'm running
stock install of Caldera OpenLinux 2.2 (kernel 2.2.5, glibc2.1, XFree 3.3.3.1).

Thanks,
Adam
