 Mine is at http://spyglass.sf.net/. TBH I'm not sure it's compiling
 right now, since I haven't touched the code in a while and GUI is in a
 very primitive state.

 But it does what you describe, it needs a few patches to get it to
 actually output something compilable, but it's almost there and it does
 in fact work for most programs.

 I've been saying to myself that I will pick this up again RSN ... as it
 turns, I might have some time for this in the near future.

It seems gl tracers are suddenly all over the place - When I wrote mine I did it because I saw it as an easy opportunity to get experience with mesa's gl_API.xml and python modules, and of course because I thought it could be a useful tool. Since writing it I have become aware of

* ZAPdb
* SpyGlass - http://spyglass.sourceforge.net
* GLTrace http://www.hawksoft.com/gltrace
* BuGLe - http://bugle.sourceforge.net

The more the merrier? :-)
