Okay, I've been able to reproduce this. The problem occurs when Mesa generates
damage events for buffer swaps and xf86-video-intel doesn't know to ignore them
for synchronising the page contents. It'll be fixed when you build and run
xf86-video-intel against xserver master (to become 1.4).
