I think there's a bit of thinking needed on clip planes generally - I'm playing around a little with the i965 driver that also performs the cliptesting in a post-amble to the vertex shader. The software draw/ module would also ideally work this way... Can you give me a couple of days to look at the issue & maybe work through it a bit more with you?
