I've been pretty conservative about the patches I take from master for the 7.4 
branch, but the ones you listed should probably be safe.

I'll probably do some additional work in those areas and Bob Ellison is working 
on some more bugs.  I think more testing is in order before cherry-picking to 
7.4 but it's doable.  Would you be willing to do the cherry-picking and some 
testing?
