I really appreciate your help and patience for this, benh and I will have the
patch committed this afternoon, along with a fix for the error you just
provided.
Once the patch is committed, there may still be additional issues on some linux
systems, but we will be able to resolve them fairly quickly, rather than with a
giant patch :)
