Yes I am using the Xilinx 10G IP. My hunch based on your explanation of the flow was correct. I had an order of operations issue with a dependency on the pl.dtsi generation so my build was failing prior to generation of the pl.dtsi. I moved my bbappend function call to a later point in the build process and now all works nicely. Thanks for the additional documentation though, that looks comprehensive and like it might be very helpful with future work that I am doing.
