I would like to find a way to hotlink text in a field so that the link
information (which will be a card to go to and a field to display) is stored
as part of the htmltext, much as a web browser does. MetaCard strips out most
html tags that don't have to do with text styling, so my efforts so far aren't
working. I could keep a duplicate of the htmltext elsewhere for reference, but
I'd rather not do it that way if I don't have to. A lookup table won't work
either, for a number of reasons.
I did notice that MC creates a "<GROUP>" tag (which it does retains as part of
the htmltext) when I enter various test words in an experimental tag, but I'm
not sure what triggers this tag to be created or whether I could use it for my
purposes.
Any ideas whether embedded links are possible?
