Does Director allow access into a QuickTime sprite movie? I have no
experience with this, but I am subscribed to the LiveStage lists, and I
would think someone there would have mentioned taking advantage of this.

MetaCard does support sprite movies, and very well, at least from a
performance standpoint. QuickTime sprites are not known for speed, so the
more greedy their host environment is, the better. For example, sprite
movies run much faster in Internet Explorer than in MoviePlayer, because
Explorer is such a processor pig. MetaCard seems to be on the Explorer
end of things, although it will give up time to another application that
needs it.
