Thanks to all for their feedback regarding checking for QuickTime.

Whilst it is often cleaner to reboot after installing software such 
as QuickTime, I find it isn't absolutely necessary.  Also, most 
software that really needs a reboot tells you so, yet the QuickTime 
installer doesn't.

Following the various feedback, my strategy is to test for QuickTime, 
if not present, tell the user:

- to install it using the installer I provide on the same CD as my app

- they can re-run my app once they've installed QuickTime

- my app will quit as QuickTime isn't available

This avoids me having to worry about either checking for QuickTime 
and trying to continue, or trying to launch the installer from within 
my app.
