Can MetaCard play streaming (ie the fast start kind) movies?
Here's what I would like to try out in the next few weeks:
1- Load all my images, text, movies and audio to my raq server
2- Run a stack that retrieves all the images etc from the server
Has anyone done this? This might help me convince my client not to pay
attention to plugins. It lends itself very well to updates this way since
the data is called up from the server. I potentially could also create
modular courseware which is seen by the "browser" stack and allow the user
to run these extra modules simply by selecting it from a list.
Anyone else interested in this type of functionality? Are people doing this
with MC?
I asked Scott earlier if it would be possible to design a stack locally on
my disk, and lets say I stored all my media in a directory called *data*,
then when the project was done I could get the stack to find my *data*
directory at "http://www.stackraq.com/data" - thus extending the set
directory I guess. I'm waiting for the answer but I'm pretty sure I can do
most of it, I just want to avoid all the extra work to get it *to* work by
allowing me to simply point to a location and say "get the data from there"
type of thing.
Am I nuts or can this be done? I am only now getting around to really
exploring MC and the web.
