I don't understand Scott.  Would it not have been easier to port over 
the IRIX or other UNIX build of MetaCard rather than carbonizing?  It 
would be nice to get your point of view on why you choose this path, 
is the OS X too far from your current X builds that you *had* to port 
the Mac build or was there other considerations (like hoping 
carbonizing would produce a single source exe capable of running on 
both).

I thought for sure we'd get a UNIX port to OS X then have to run the 
PPC version under OS9 which is not that big a deal for me since I'll 
be dropping OS9 like a hot potato (I have already lined up all the 
apps I'll need to make this feasible.  Just need MetaCard now...)
