Anyone that knows me would know that I'm a big fan of platform 
independence.  This is why I love MetaCard, Applescript is great for 
Mac users (a family to which I belong) but I have been directed into 
a position where I can no longer choose a platform.  Anything I do 
must run, as a minimum, on a Mac, PC, SGI, and Linux.
