MetaCard apps, but relatively few which make use of MC's powerful socket

I've seen that Pierre Sahores and others have a strong interest in this
area, but I haven't been able to find publicly available apps as yet.
Are there any MC apps which are in development which use Net protocols
(HTTP, FTP, custom) as an integral part of its functionality? Any of those
likely to be released this year?
If anyone's making VPN tools, I'd be curious to know how you handle
encryption for that context, or if it's relevant at all to the type of tool
you're making.
Anyone making a Gnutella client? Any other peer-to-peer tools?
Anyone making an MC GUI interface for media stored on an HTTP server?
Anyone sending stacks over the Net?
If I can find three or four such projects, I'd like to include profiles of
the application and the developer as part of an article on why Net GUIs can
sometimes make more sense outside of the browser.
Also: Pierre - what's your email address? (Seems the daily digest strips
that off)
