I haven't done any work on this, but here's something that it seems like
Metacarders could look into. Recently (or at least I recently discovered it)
AOL has provided browser-based e-mail access through a series of forms. You
simply go to aolmail.aol.com, POST a form with your username and password,
send back some sort of verification key, and whammo! You're reading your AOL
mail. How about a lightweight AOL client written in Metacard with socket
scripting? Does this intrigue anyone else? What about supporting the AOL IM
system? ICQ?
