Hi to all. I have a question regarding Metacard (2.3 for Windows) and the
server. I have created a language test for my students. I have installed
the metacard player and all the files which are part of the test on a
server. I have two questions based on what happened during a dry run of
the first test.
Problem 1 --
The program (which works perfectly on the individual computer) records the
student answers in the answer field of each module (= exercise). If the
students switch modules, they can always go back and a previous exercise
and their answers will always be there. On the server this feature does
not work, even though we have all the appropriate permissions set on the
server. Because of this, the files which the program generated at the end
of the test does not contains the student answers.
Problem 2
In our language lab we have 32 compute stations. However, we were able to
use only 25 out of the 32 computers. Is this a limitation of Metacard? I
noticed that after a couple of students completed the test, two of the
other remaining students were able to start their test in the same
computers which before had denied them the access.
