Apparently you do not understand. I would not mind paying for my wife's healthcare from a private provider and have never taken any government handouts ever. It is when the choice has been taken away with false promises of saving $2,400.00 a year and you would not lose your doctor that I care about.
The exchanges are ridiculous. Come on, a $5,900 deductible is considered a high-end plan just because it costs as much as a mortgage payment for use who do not qualify for a subsidy?
Obamacare is imploding under its poorly planned weight.Time for a better thought-out private system that serves everybody and not socialized medicine where you have to wait for your lottery number to be called to get any service.

You re under no obligation anywhere to buy Obamacare. You can buy any health insurance policy you like. So instead yup are angry that you have to have any healthcare policy or pay a fine.
Wow, so taxpayers like me have to pay your healthcare. Thanks Sent from my iPad

I am self employed and do not take any government subsidies is the reason it is so expensive for us. I could let my wife go without and pay the fines (taxes) is the only choice I see. My wife has no preexisting conditions so we would be much better off with a privately offered HSA. In any case, healthcare should be left up to the invidividual not the government in my opinion. Now back to the outrageous land grabs occurring at an historic rate! 200 acres could protect the historic monument yet over a million acres was taken from us.Adam----- Original Message ----- From: "Michael Farmer" <[email protected]> To: "Raremeteorites" <[email protected]>; "Meteorite Mailing List" <[email protected]>Sent: Thursday, December 29, 2016 5:59 PM Subject: Re: [meteorite-list] Another Land Grab In Nevada And Utah!Adam, why would you be "forced" to put your wife on Obamacare? I'm just curious. There is nothing whatsoever forcing you to do anything. You are free and clear to select any medical insurance offered. No one is forced into Obamacare, so that's just bullshit. Why would you get reimbursed for a hospital visit? You pay your copay or decidable and they pay the rest. That's all.Michael Sent from my iPadOn Dec 29, 2016, at 6:11 PM, Raremeteorites via Meteorite-list <[email protected]> wrote:John and List,The good news is that people are being made aware of the problems facing meteorite hunters. You can only solve a problem by admitting there is one in the first place.I will never complain or be jealous about honest people who work hard and have a few things to show for it. Hard work is what built this nation. Sure, I complain about other things but I do something about it. If I want something, I will work 80 hours a week to get it. I once worked 14 years straight running a company without taking a single sick or vacation day off. I even brokered deals on the phone with sterile gauze in my mouth right after getting four wisdom teeth pulled without making any excuses. My idea of a vacation was presenting our US made products at a trade show in Las Vegas once a year.On the other hand, most of what I earn goes to others either in the way of being ripped off by people I once trusted, taxes or charity. I prefer charity. Most of those valuables you mention in warehouses were donated, seven truck loads this year alone.I enjoy meteorite hunting, just like I used to enjoy treasure hunting before it became overregulated. Hunting for meteorites is not cheap thus the proper equipment which happens to be expensive. Most successful hunters I read about have invested an enormous amount, if not in equipment, then in time.As far as land goes, this is my new career so I am keenly interested in it. Most invest in some form of retirement. I have no faith in 401Ks or Social Security so choose to invest in land for the time being. If there happens to be gold or other valuable mineral resources, I enjoy working the land to extract a small amount to help offset the enormous investment involved with such endeavors. And as far as Obamacare is concerned, I was forced to put my wife on this worthless healthcare "insurance." I was lucky to keep my existing plan which actually pays out benefits. We have paid tens of thousands of dollars into the "Affordable Healthcare Act" for my wife and have not collected a single penny in reimbursement despite visits to the hospital.Happy hunting while you still can, Adam ----- Original Message ----- From: "John Lutzon" <[email protected]> To: "Raremeteorites" <[email protected]> Cc: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, December 29, 2016 4:06 PM Subject: Re: [meteorite-list] Another Land Grab In Nevada And Utah!Hello Adam, I wish you and yours all best and a Merry Christmas & Happy New Year. You have have contributed Much to this community and much to be admired for. As we all know this is not the forum for land acquisitions, although it makes for good reading & knowledge, but since you opened the door..............In the past, you have talked about your gold mining operation, large tracksof land you own, warehouses full of valuables and your fancy off-roadvehicles--and a high priced car that you didn't want to get mud on duringa rainy Tuscon Show----And in the same breath you stated that you can't find affordable health care. No Adam, I can't (and many others) afford good health care. Please Sir !!!! Youv'e been on this stump before---nothing but bitch, bitch, bitch...... With your resourses, Do something ! Do Something !! The next post I would to see from you is----Iv'e contacted senator, congressman so/so and got Bill # so/so passed that opens up some properties to serious rockhounds etc. And, no Adam, this is Not insulting, you may have been insulting to this list by sitting too high on the horse. Again, please come back with some Good news for the Meteorite Hunters. Protected from what, citizens and non-citizens trying to enjoy the out-of-doors? If thieves want to get to the these archeological sites, remove dinosaurtracks or go after fossils, blocking roads will make it simpler for them. There will be nobody else around, since this land can no longer be used for recreational purposes, to watch over these treasures. All of the protectionbuilt into the great pyramids in Egypt did very little to stop looters. There is such thing as overregulation which usually results in the lose of freedom. I do not take it lightly when some idiotic bureaucrat takes thesefreedoms away. You can stick to paved roads but many of us prefer to actually enjoy publiclands that were intended for public use by our forefathers. It will not be long before meteorite hunters are considered thieves due tothe ridiculous 1906 Antiquities laws which were never intended to nationalize vast areas of land without any public input whatsoever. The meteorite collection weight limit on public land has now been reduced toZero pounds. It seems theidiots in Washington DC. don't care about recreational land use and wanteverybody to be herded like cattle on the paved and decaying infrastructure. I hope this generation appreciates the little freedom we have left out. Wide open ranges and public land used for public purposes are quickly becoming a thing of the past.
