Hi Tom,
The 10,000 surface is what was left after one half of the pattern was already removed plus both halves of the core. The original file was 47 mb in IGES format. I have a PIII that went into a total eclipse when I tried to do anything with this model, my Athlon Thunderbird 900 mhz, runs it fine. The errors were actually on the PIII at the foundry's Pattern Shop, the Athlon (my home office machine) saved the day and generated it just fine. I hate it when I  have to use my MicroSystems machines to complete the foundry's jobs but this is not the first time. The foundry just ordered an Athlon 1ghz today for the next job that is slightly larger.
The Rhino rendering of this part is on my website right now at http://www.microsystemsgeorgia.com/toc.htm , here are a couple of shots of the prototype we just completed this morning.
Thanks guys,
Michael

Yeppers... 10,000 surfaces... I would say it's just to much. Probably sucking
up memory. He needs to break of the file if he wants to have prayer.

Cheers,
Marc
