Jonathan,
In Autocad, explode your drawing. Then perform a "purge-all" command. Save it as a R12
dxf drawing. It should now import with no problems. Let us know if this works for you.

Subject: [mfg-smartcam] IMPORTING DXF/DWG FILES

I'm having trouble trying to import dxf and dwg files into Advanced Fab Ver.
11.1 from Autocad 2000. It simply will not do it.
I have even tried saving from Autocad as a release 14 or 12 dxf file. When I
try to bring it in to Advanced Fab, it locks up the software. Is there
something else I could try or is my Smartcam to old for my Autocad 2000?

Thanks,
Jonathan McRight
