Larry,
I added your @HELIX statement to my
post and got the following
when I coded the
tool.
N110 M106 (1/4" CARBIDE BALL
MILL TOOL 108)
N115 T122 M08 N120 G00 X20.1 Y9.725 S6112 M03 N125 G43 Z0.0 H108
N130 Z-1.5385 N135(2)G03X20.375Y10.0Z-1.5I0.0J0.275R0.275F8.0 N140(2)G03X20.375Y10.0Z-1.423I-0.375J0.0R0.375 N145(2)G03X20.1Y10.275Z-1.385I-0.275J0.0R0.275 N150 M107
Tool rapids to depth then
interpolates the hole.
My macro adds in the arc in and out
radius automatically,
thats why you see the 3 G03
lines.
Everything looks like it should on
my end.
I won't be able to help out any
further unless you send your
.tmp & .smf
files.
Good Luck

----- Original Message ----- Why is my helix being output with a G01 code and
without a Z-depth?
I tried several different .smf and .tmp files with
the same results.
Here is the code:
%
(TEST) N1 G00 G20 G40 G80 G90 N2 T09 M06 (0.250 DIA. BALL MILL) N3 G90 G54 G00 X3.0688 Y-0.8674 S9500 M03 N4 G43 H09 Z0.2 M08 N5 G01 Z-0.1462 F10.0 N6 X3.0382 Y-0.8545 F20.0 N7 X2.9955 Y-0.8483 Here is the template section:
@HELIX
#IF(#U0=1)< helix> (2)<#PLANE>#MOVX#XPOSY#YPOSZ#ZPOSI#XCTRJ#YCTRR#ARAD<F#FEED> #EVAL(#U2=#DCOMP) Also tried this:
@HELIX
< #PLANE>< #MOV>< X#XPOS>< Y#YPOS>< Z#ZPOS>< I#XCTR J#YCTR>< F#FEED>
I re-checked all the smf questions
also.
Any ideas??
Thanks in advance,
Larry
