How would that be accomplished.

Would that be a user element  #INCLUDE(comment_1.txt)

How about the file location ?

Yes there is. Use #INCLUDE(filename) at the appropriate spot in your post.

I agree we manufacture custom components and set up instruction, probing instructions, and measuring information's are very important for smooth operations.

Is there a way to inserts external text files in the posted code. For instance the notes could be in text files and the placed in to the code at the specific locations whenever they are called up.

Jeff,
This is not something I encounter on every job but there are projects that require thorough documentation such as precision prototypes, ongoing productions runs with constant revisions and simple part programs that run great due to good run notes.
Yes, I would call it extensive setup and process notes. In an effort to give our operators all the information to accurately complete there task with as little confusion as possible I may document not only smartcam info such as tooling and setup but important info for other areas (wire, jig grinding, surface grinding, conventional edm, inspection, lathe......).

Lee,

This may sound strange but, would you mind explaining what and why you need
that much room for notes?
Is it extensive detail to a setup, special Tool notes or a training manual?
