Gary,   You could open the planner and delete all unused tools and then use renumber starting with one (1) and increment by ones. Then the last tool in the list would have the number you are looking for. Just save before doing so and not after. As the other person (Kelley Spinks) said you could make this into a macro by recording it the first time you do it.
