Colin, this may help you.

Second G76 line:
The X word is the minor dia. on an external thread or the major dia. on an internal thread
The Z word is the Z axis position at the end of the thread.
The R word is the radial difference in the minor or major diameters of a tapered thread. Can be omitted on a straight thread.
The P word is the radial height of the threads expressed without decimal. Example: on a thread with a height of .040, P=400
The Q word is the radial depth of cut for the first pass. This is also expressed without decimals. Q80=.008 depth of cut)
The F word is the feed rate which is equal to the lead of the thread. Example a 20 pitch thread has a lead =1/20" = .050 therefore F=.050

Subject: [mfg-smartcam] Npt threads

There are (2) G76 lines when cutting threads, what is the required fields for the second G76 line. I am cutting 3/4 - 14 npt internal.

In particular the "R" which represents the taper value. I'm getting different answers from different sources about this.

Thank you.
